The success story of Gerstner began with a bakery in Vienna. With the awarding of the title of K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker and the first Austrian catering at the World Exhibition in 1873, Gerstner became an important purveyor to the court.

For over 175 years, Gerstner has delighted connoisseurs and enthusiasts from Vienna and around the world. Take a seat in one of our café-restaurants, indulge in treats from our bakery, or enjoy our catering at events in the most traditional houses.

Since 2021, Gerstner has been part of GMS GOURMET GmbH. As an expert in gastronomy services, Gerstner excellently complements the range of renowned restaurants and traditional coffee houses. Known as the caterer of the Opera Ball, Gerstner is represented in the most famous houses in Vienna, for example, in the Vienna State Opera or the Vienna Musikverein, as well as at trade fairs and congresses in the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center.
